Is NetLicensing GDPR compliant, and who processes the data?

Question

We sell to customers in the EU. What do we need to know about personal data in NetLicensing?

Answer

NetLicensing is run by Labs64 GmbH in Munich, Germany. When you store your customers’ personal data in NetLicensing, Labs64 processes it on your behalf, and you can sign a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with us for that.

The Privacy Center explains what data is processed and how to handle requests from your customers. You can look up and correct, export and delete a licensee’s data, and check the consent they gave in the Shop.

The less personal data you store, the less you have to worry about. Where you can, use a pseudonymous licensee number, such as an installation ID, rather than an e-mail address.
